About Morzine
Morzine is a small but busy alpine town in the Portes du Soleil area of the Haute Savoie, France. The local people are very friendly and the town has a lively atmosphere. There are many bars and some great restaurants for ‘al fresco’ drinking and dining.
‘Portes du Soleil’
Is the name given to the huge ski area which links Morzine to the other French resorts of Les Gets, Avoriaz and Chatel and also to the Swiss resorts of Morgins and Champerey. The area is a mountain biking paradise, not only does it satisfy the hard-core mountain biker but the area also offers trail riding for the novice. Whatever your ability you wont be disappointed. The ski lift system opens during July and August: specially adapted to carry bikes it serves miles and miles of cross country trails and permanent downhill courses.
